One of the keys to improving memory is attention. When our attention is scattered or distracted, our brain simply fails to process the relevant information and, therefore, is much more difficult or impossible to remember. The cultivation of care through practice exercises that require concentration in a very positive impact on our ability to assimilate and remember information. Similarly, when we want something we tend to register more effectively and more easily remembered. Where possible, we promote our own interest in what we want to remember.
Repetition has always been used as the primary method of memorization. Indeed, repetition makes things better and be remembered, therefore, this method has its place in our toolbox rote. However, the repetition is not the most effective method for storing complex information with many links between different elements. For such information, synthesizing and building outlines are very helpful and leads to simple repetition. The ideal is to combine both techniques and apply repeatedly remind the exercise of schemes created.
The imagination is a great ally of memory. In the mnemonic, for example, recall information using relationships between concepts or elements. Relationships are so much easier to remember the more imaginative are the relationships formed at the time of memorization. Therefore, exercising and developing the imagination is a great help to successfully implement these techniques as useful for storing any information in the order you want.
