7 tips on how to get more mileage from your Online or Offline Publicity
You have worked hard to get a story about your business in a popular website or your local newspaper. Do not let your efforts ends there - here are seven tips to help you maximize your advertising online and offline:
1) Reprint, Reprint, Reprinted!
A favorable article about your company or products is marketing gold - implies that the publication or website has given its approval. The best part is that you can enjoy the benefits of this "third endorsement" long after the article appeared.
If you want to reprint an article from a publication online in its entirety, you must obtain permission from the publication. Most publications have special departments to help re-release.
The same rules apply for the stories that appear on websites. For re-print, take a screenshot - be sure to include the logo of the media outlet.
If there is a particularly juicy section of this article wishes to highlight, make sure you use a quote "blow-up" to enlarge and separate from the rest of the article.
2) Add it to your website
What better place to drumbeat the newly acquired media placement of your website. If you get a lot of publicity, set up a special area (eg, "As Seen On") to display placements. For a great story, you highlight it on your home page. Susan Blair does a nice job of showing his achievements in its advertising section "Articles" on http://www.blairenterprises.net
Note: If you see your article published on its website, be sure to link to it. Remember to frequently check your link - media websites are changing constantly. Better yet, take a screenshot of your article including publication of the logo and place it permanently in your "As Seen In" area.
3) Stop the (electronic) presses - Mention your position in your ezine
If your company has a regular ezine, by all means let your subscribers in advertising on your success. It 's human nature to be attracted to a popular, successful companies, or a famous person. "Celebrity" status is very valuable in and of itself.
4) existing mail client or potential
Impress your clients or potential, from tooting your own horn with an e-mail alerting them that have been published or seen on TV!
Use the power of PR to your advantage. The advertising is clearly understood as coming straight from the business sponsorship and, therefore, is usually taken with a grain of salt. An article initiated (or "post") on the part of promotional efforts is seen as the product of a journalist who wrote it - an objective, third party observer whose positive comments your business will have a great weight. 5), Plot Again, Sam!
Take your piece of history from a different publication or website - make sure to bend the angle to match the column editor of the publication or reporter specific. DO NOT say that the story appeared in another publication. Why let a reporter know the angle has already been reported? If it is interesting, the story will be standing alone. 6) "internal" PR
Place your article in a nice frame and hang it in a visible area of the waiting room of your office. The story adds legitimacy to your business and provides entertainment for your customers on hold. If you do not have a waiting room, put the article behind the desk in front of your visitors or in your meeting room.
Make sure to distribute the story to employees and suppliers to build loyalty and corporate pride.
7) Other Tips
* The sales brochures, direct marketing materials and printed Trade Show - such as advertising, self-produced brochures and mailing credits are taken with a grain of salt. But, if a credible publication makes these same claims on your behalf, make sure he gets the position "front page" in your marketing materials.
* Handout Speech: - A way to keep your speech working for you long after the chairs are folded is to distribute your article with your business card and company information to all participants.
* Business card: - Place one important quote from your article on your business card....
