10 Ways to Stop Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, AOL, EarthLink and steal money from your business
How many of you are still using Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, AOL or EarthLink to send email on behalf of your company? How many of you are actually paying both AOL and EarthLink each month to send e-mail to your current and potential customers? Did you know that every time you send an e-mail using these services you are literally allowing them to take money from your business? Please do not misunderstand me, I have used and still use some of these services, but I do not use them for my company. I use my e-mail company (jeffb@2thenextlevel.com) for communication, correspondence and marketing. The moment I hit "submit", not only can not I put my company name in the inbox of someone but also give them a way back to my website for more information about my company - and possibility of a sale.
Your e-mail has become an important form of marketing and branding. So much so that when you send it to more people in the form of an offer you have for your products or services your company name could be read by millions of people. Then, because it will allow Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, AOL or EarthLink to get all the credit. These e-mail services have millions and millions of customers. Yet you have been allowing them to make valuable marketing and branding dollars right out of your pocket. Every time you send e-mail that you are giving them the opportunity of free marketing for your prospects and customers. Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, AOL and Earthlink all you like when you decide to start a business and use their email address. No matter if you choose a name like mybusinessname@aol.com, you are still giving AOL the best way to market their service.
Ok, now you know what you should do. Now here are the steps in what should be done.
Step 1: Go to a site as quickly proemailaddress.com and register a domain name for your business. If you can not get your name try to get the exact domain name of what you specialize in: ex. Wesellrestaurants.com, or as the product offers performance: eg. Thechaindrive.com
Step 2: In this research, then the registration of a domain name, try your best to get a name "com.". . "Com" is still the most popular and most recognized. If you can not get it. "Com" go. "Net" and, last but not least. "Biz".
Step 3: E-mail a package that will provide you with at least 5 e-mail to start. Get more if you have multiple people in your company, but 5 e-mail is sufficient for smaller companies.
Step 4: The two most important e-mail addresses are yourname@yourbusiness.com and info@yourbusiness.com. yourname@yourbusiness.com should go over every piece of marketing that give out. This includes your business card, brochure, letterhead and fax cover sheet. Yourname@yourbusiness.com try not to put on your website. Use info@yourbusiness.com for this purpose. This e-mail information will be your catch-all email address. This will reduce the amount of spam you receive to yourname @ yourbusiness.
Step 5: Send an email change of address letter to inform all customers who have used the old Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, AOL, EarthLink, and you now have a new e-mail and the old one no longer in use. One of the best ways to do this is to use a service like Plaxo.com. Plaxo.com will help you send the latest information about you and your company via email.
Step 6: Use your autoresponder or vacation reply feature on your old Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, AOL, EarthLink e-mail to inform those who are still sending email to you that you have changed your email address to yourname@yourbusinessname.com ~ ~ V Make sure you inform that must now use your new yourname@yourbusinessname.com from now and that the old email address will be logged only once a week for the next 30 days.
